Session: Youth Work in the Time of Covid19: How To Rethink Your Program Design

A young woman looks at her reflection during COVID-19
Dates Offered:

August 25, 11:00 AM - 12:00 (CST)

Fee:

$10 per person (with credit card fee of $1.53)

Description:

Youth Programs can be powerful spaces for young people in our communities, now more than ever. However, with school closures, staff changes and changing resources, so much of our youth programming plans are up in the air. It can feel overwhelming to decide how to best show up for our young people during COVID-19. In this online conversation, we’ll dive into a planning guide focused on youth work values and concepts that can help shape we rethink program design by:

  1. returning to our core youth work purpose and expand multiple roles we could play during this pandemic, and
  2. re-envisioning our approach to youth work programming to meet the changing needs of young people.

Registration includes access to a planning guide and a curated set of reports, resources and templates in Google Drive to download. A link to a Zoom meeting will be sent out the morning of the online session.

Facilitated by: Deborah Moore + Colin Peters, University of Minnesota Youth Work Learning Lab in the School of Social Work
